Function of PHE Department

• To provide assistance & guidance to the Minister. In-charge in respect of matters pertaining to PHE&RD Department
• To implement Government polies & execute the same in the field of water supply drainage & RO/UF Plants
• To provide pollution free environment by improving the disposal of domestic wastewater etc
• Pavement of streets adjacent to open drains etc for benefit of public.
• To work and coordinate with International agencies, NGOs working in the field of water supply and drainage sector.
• To manage affairs relating to HRM at every level
• Construction of farm to market roads for facilitation of agricultural products
• Village electrification and solarisation of village street lights .
• To provide facility of hand pumps in remote areas
